Description
The title is self explanatory. The work is in respect to the men who flew in Bomber Command and is from a Dutch perspective. The 4 graves are from a crew-mostly Australian. The graves were decorated with trinkets,childrens items and had the word ‘Bedankt’ made of sticks and aluminium foil. It was later found that the teacher in the nearby school taught the grade 5 children about the service and sacrifice of the men buried in their local churchyard.
